I have spent the last couple of months thinking about how I can make a contribution to not only society but how I want to live my life. I am a teacher and I feel a like I've had the please in making a difference, big or small, in my students' lives. When I think about why or how I am able to do this, I feel that the ability to connect with them in the classroom is one of the gifts that the Lord has blessed me with in life.
I attended a service this past Sunday and my pastor spoke about using the gifts that the Lord has bestowed upon us. Everyone is born with a gift, and it is our responsibility to use that gift in a way to serve the Lord. For the past couple of months, I have prayed and pleaded with God to allow me to do something that allows me to make a difference in not only my life but for those around me.
Not only did He open the door of opportunity, He Blessed me with the idea and ability to create a card that not only serves Him but is a unique way for me to connect with people. That day, the idea of creating, designing, and making a card with Jesus loves me more than... as the series of my cards was born. As soon as I designed the first card, I received the idea to call my card series Simple Messages, Big Meanings.
My Jesus loves me more than...cards are mean't to make you smile and draw you into the gospel. Each card features a suggested reading and comes with a bright color envelope. I love color and the Lord knows that along with making you smile is my way to not only connect with Him but with you. I hope and pray that you enjoy each card, and it opens up a new opportunity for you to connect with the Lord. I wish you all the blessings that life has to offer, and if I can use my gift for the gospel so can you. The Lord is love and to love is to know the Lord.
There's nothing more exciting than decorating your wall with a little inspiration.
There's something a little sweet when it comes to thinking about a theme for a little girl. I know a thing or two about being obsessed with ribbons and mom's jewelry! I often find myself having a tea party in the middle of the day with my eight year old. One thing is for sure-a tea party with colorful macaroon invitations can be the perfect fit for your next party.
There's something about rustic prints that makes my heart skip a beat! Maybe it's the Texas girl in me, who knows! One thing is for sure, I'm loving this one!
I'm so excited to share my Faith Art Print Collection with you. These will be posted on my website soon but are up and ready to go on my ETSY shop. It's an honor to not only share my faith with people, but to design a print with what keeps me sane is a thrill. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do. Have a Blessed Day!
Well, its official! Michelle Elizondo Designs is finally on ETSY. I opened up the shop in August but did not have the guts to upload and keep my invitations posted. After much thought and prayer, I have taken that leap of faith and joined the ETSY family. I am both nervous and excited. I have taught design at the high school level for 15 years and now, it's my turn to make the change. I have read many, many blogs out in the blog world about encouragement. There are many strong, faithful women out there willing to share such as those that attend the Stationary Academy. It's amazing how one post can encourage someone like myself to take a leap of faith. I hope to one day become someones' inspiration. So, if you get a change, stop by my shop melizondodesigns on ETSY and leave me a comment or two!
It's been a crazy week. Being a full-time mom and high school teacher, really keeps me busy. Designing invitations has become my escape after a busy day. It's great that some of my best work has happened late at night with just me and my laptop. Take a look at a few of the designs I have been working on below.
I'm a full-time mom and teacher, in my mid thirties, married with an energetic seven year old that keeps me busy and my life full of laughter.
